NSF or Notes Storage Facility is database file of IBM Notes that store complete mailbox data such as contacts, emails, calendars, notes, etc. This email client has inbuilt feature Access Control List (ACL) that contains permissions associated with an object. The administrator can assign the access rules to local users so that they can access the file. If admin assigns the rules to local users, only then they can access or open the database file. If users who are accessing the database do not have privilege, they can receive such error in Lotus Notes \u2018You are not authorized to access the database.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thus, it can be concluded that the error occurs due to absence authorization to user and one can resolve this error by providing access to the file to users. Also, there is another solution i.e. simply remove local security from NSF file.<\/p>\n
